[26 Dec 2009|11:54pm] techsta_girl Christmas is going well. My mum and brother are up here which is nice, yesterday I cooked lunch and then we chilled in the spa with beers. It was so nice just to be with immediate family and not have to do that whole polite conversation with relatives you only see once a year. We're going to visit waterfalls tomorrow and the Hinterland which is meant to be pretty nice. We went to Noosa last weekend which was lovely, I hadn't been there in over 10 years and swam out to the back waves and was probably close to getting knocked in the head by one of the surfer's boards. I'd still do it again, I love swimming in the ocean and love the waves. Today I made Brisbane's Boxing day sales my bitch. I finally found a dress in the colour blue I've been searching for in forever. It's a short midnight blue cocktail dress which I'm going to wear on NYE. We've got guests from London staying and we've splurged for an all inclusive night by the river with fireworks. I'm really bad with all inclusives though, I make it my personal mission to get "my moneys worth" and will probably get hideously drunk trying out all the cocktails on the menu. Back to the sales - I also bought these ridiculous Steve Madden platform pumps which I'll probably break my neck wearing, they are almost worth taking a photo of. The downside is it makes me taller than Jamie but I kind of like it even though he says it makes him feel uncomfortable (I think it's because with my improved height he knows I could make him my bitch) My mum keeps spying on our neighbours, because we live next to a block of apartments she has taken to hourly updates on what the people next door are doing. "Oh, there's an Asian man washing his dishes" - "Oh look, there's 2 men out on a balcony drinking beer...oh and what about the balcony beneath them - there's someone putting away some clothes." It's like she thinks she's James Stewart in her own personal episode of Rear Window. In other non-related window news and perhaps in quite a depressing realm I only have half an inch of Breaking Dawn to read which will be finality for the Twilight series. Talk about devastated. What on earth am I going to do with my time now? I'll probably go back to annoying Jamie while he's on the computer and calling him a nerd when he plays computer games that I don't understand...he totally loves it when I do that. I survived the whole way by means of cookies and Red Bull, only stopping to nap twice. I have the best car ever, ever. People on 2-lane highways usually drive like tards.
